Sometimes, it is difficult to find the right words to describe a travel experience.
We could tell you about the beauty of the landscapes, the days spent sailing, the hidden coves, the encounters, or the passion that drives Marco since he chose Greece as the place where he wanted to build a new life.
But who better than a traveler can describe what the experience truly feels like?
In May 2026, Sonia spent twelve days with Marco's Adventures. After returning home, she took the time to put her experience into words.
Her story perfectly reflects what makes every stay unique: freedom, authenticity, adventure, meaningful encounters, and the love for Greece that Marco enjoys sharing with everyone who crosses his path.

Had I been there before? No.
Why this destination?
Before leaving, I had heard about Marco's tailor-made travel experiences through a close friend. After seeing photos of the region, I was eager to discover it for myself.
Now that I've been there... and why I'll return
In all honesty, this was one of the most memorable trips I have ever had the opportunity to experience, for countless reasons.
Authenticity (and a wonderful encounter)
Marco decided to leave everything behind in Belgium to pursue his dream: living from his love of nature and sailing.
He is passionate about nature, discovery, and adventure, and that passion is something he naturally shares with those who travel with him. Conversations are always interesting, genuine, and inspiring. He is also incredibly kind, dedicated... and very funny!
His love for Greece can be seen in many ways: through his knowledge of the language, his relationships with local people, and even his talent for Greek cooking, which guests are lucky enough to enjoy.
Flexibility and adventure
If, like me, you do not enjoy planning every detail in advance, this is the perfect way to travel.
The itinerary can be shaped day by day according to your wishes and the weather.
What was originally meant to be a single day aboard the catamaran eventually turned into four days of sailing after a spontaneous decision to extend the adventure.
I had the opportunity to steer the boat myself, we encountered dolphins and even a sea turtle, explored charming ports and villages, slept in secluded coves, enjoyed paddleboarding and swimming in crystal-clear waters, often far from the busiest tourist areas.
We also enjoyed barbecues on board and evenings under the stars, complete with shooting stars crossing the night sky.
Diversity
Beyond the days spent at sea, I divided my time between Marco's house and his chalet nestled in the forest.
There, there are no neighbours in sight — only cats, birds and even a fox.
The area offers countless hiking opportunities and breathtaking viewpoints. One of my most unforgettable memories was cycling down a mountain road at sunset after spending the day exploring the surrounding hills.
The different means of transportation available — boat, bicycle and car — as well as the various accommodation options — house, chalet, catamaran, bivouac or camping — create almost endless possibilities.
All that remains is for you to decide which adventure you would like to live.

Final thoughts
